the WHY page.
|
Why should I participate? The SearchSays idea is bigger than one person and has potential to be better than other search engines. With 100% user-driven searching, your participation has a direct influence on what listings people see and which sites deserve attention from the end users. This is an opportunity to affect the Internet as a whole and to help your fellow web searchers individually. Why should I join as a member?Joining is free. As a non-member, you can still search and do some basic voting (penny votes). As a registered member, you can review sites, have full voting privileges, and manage your listings (edit, delete, and add more search phrases).
Why should I create a profile? There are really three levels of interaction on SearchSays: non-member, registered member, and registered member with a profile. We encourage everyone to add their profile because it allows you to be fully "plugged in".
You can create a network of friends, add pictures, post messages, establish an online persona, and personalize your interaction with other searchers. Your public profile does not contain any personally sensitive information, and it's primary purpose is to connect the search community. Why is a user-contributed search engine better? With human intelligence leading the way, a user-controlled search tool can eliminate spam while being smarter at selecting high quality, relevant web pages. Also, being different is just as important as being better. Our user-centric system is a complete departure from other search engines and provides searchers unique results that they may not find easily elsewhere.
Why shouldn't I join?We can't think of a reason why not! You can join here, and help reclaim the web for the end users. |
